One Dollar, British Columbia Centennial 

The nickel dollar for 19971 commemorates the entry in 1871 of British Columbia into Confederation. Its design is based on the arms of the province, with a shield at the bottom and dogwood blossoms at the top. The design of the brilliant uncirculated nickel dollar is identical to that of the circulating issue.
